-November-
As we approach Thanksgiving I think about all of the things I am thankful for...family & friends, my health, my loving husband and wonderful children!! It just amazes me how fast my children are growing up. The other night at the dinner table we asked who wanted to pray and Karson said that he wanted to pray (which is not his thing). It brought tears to my eyes to hear the things that were truely important to him. Parenting is never an easy thing but when you hear those types of things you have to tell yourself that you must be doing something right!!!
November has turned out to be a wonderful month. Kerry and I were able to go to Kinnick to watch the Hawkeyes. We had fun even though they lost...a real bummer. We are also going this next weekend and will be on the field which I am very excited about!!! The kids are doing great. Kamryn turned 3 on the 16th. We celebrated early with family. It was fun to watch her this year. She really understood that it was "her" day!!!
Karson is of course looking forward to Christmas as I am sure many of your children are too. It was a wonderful time of year!!! Enjoy it!!!!

Happy Third Birthday Kamryn!!! I can hardly believe that you are 3 already. Boy how the time has flown by.

Kamryn was really excited to blow out her candles on her cake! I love the look on her face.

Kamryn wearing her new McQueen slippers. She wears them all of the time!!!

-October-
It was a very crummy month here in Minnesota. We didn't get too much of a fall for the snow fell way too soon. The leaves weren't even given a chance to change before the snow fell. Of course Kamryn and Karson were loving the snow as mom was thinking "this is going to be a very long winter." We still tried to do our annual fall festivities!!! We made our ghost cookies, went to the pumpkin patch (however it was a different one this year and I wasn't impressed), and of course dressed up and went trick-or-treating. It was very cold on Halloween so we only went down our rode and then over to grandma & grandpa Lindsay's. This year Karson decided that he wanted to be a Lego. So mom worked on his costume and it turned out pretty well for a lego. Kamryn she wanted to be Lightning McQueen and for the life of me and Grandma Dee we couldn't find one. Then I ran into an old friend and we were talking about what the kids were going to be for halloween and long and behold she had a McQueen costume. Kamryn loved it and didn't want to give it back!!!
It was a fun month!!!!

Kamryn at the Harvest Festival dressed as McQueen!
Now it that we had found our pumpkins it was time to crave them. It was a cool chilly day but we decided to start the craving outside. The kiddos got cold so we moved inside. I always find it funny that the kids are so excited to crave their pumpkins and then they last about 10 minutes and mom is left with craving the rest of the pumpkins. Karson wanted Darth Vader and Kamryn wanted a kitty. It was really hard finding Darth Vader so I did what I could.

Kamryn wanting to go in the corn maze.

Kamryn trying to find her pumpkin!!!

Karson picking out his pumpkin. It was a hard decision.

Karson working hard on his cookies!!!

She also ate alot of the chocolate chips...my kind of girl!!

Kamryn stirring her cookies!!!

Karson enjoying the early snow fall.

Kamryn getting Karson back for throwing snow at her. Like I said the girl can hold her own!!!

My little snow bunny!!

Karson looking for something under a rock at the Nature Center. The picture below is of his class at the nature center.

-September 2009-
Karson started his last year of preschool. He is currently going to Trinity Nursery School 4 days a week from 12:00-2:30. After a long debate Kerry and I decided that it was be in Karson's best interest if he waited one extra year before heading to kindergarten. Boy, do I feel like we made the right decision. I have seen so much growth in him in the last couple of months it is unbelieveable. He coming home reading sight words and doing simple math problems. I love watching him grow yet at times it is sad to me how fast he is growing up.
His preschool class took a field trip to a local nature center. It was really neat to watch the his class and how they interact with one another.
Kamryn she is also growing up way too fast. She is not a "girly" girl at all. In fact, right now her favorite things are McQueen and Sally from the movie Cars. She adores her big brother and follows in his foot-steps. If she keeps the personality she has now she won't take NO for an answer. She is such a sweet little girl but boy can she hold her own!!!

Sorry, it has been ages since I have last updated this blog. I got a new camera and couldn't figure out how to download my pictures and then get them on the site. I have finally figured out how to do all of that good stuff!!! I can't get over the fact that we are a couple of weeks away from the month of September...WOW!!! where has the summer gone??? We have highly enjoyed our summer months. The days have consisted of a lot of bike rides (Karson does great he can ride 3-4 miles without complaining once), trips to the park, ball games and the waterpark! It has been a really fun summer and I am not ready for it to end.
Karson will begin the five-year-old preschool program at Trinity on September 8th. I think he is excited to go, but a little nervous not really knowing anyone in his class. He will do a great job!
As for Kamryn, I really haven't decided what I am going to do this fall. I overextended myself this last year and was never home. I have decided that this is my last year that I can really be home, so I am not sure if I am going to do MOPS or mommy/me classes. We will have to see what happens. I really want to enjoy my time at home! I will try really hard in the next couple of months to keep up on the family blog!

Karson really enjoyed the turtle slide at the waterpark!

We have a new water park here in Owatonna. We were very excited to have it come since we had nowhere to go on those hot, summer days. Both kids really enjoy the zero depth pool and lazy river. Kamryn is definatly our little fish!!!

Kamryn loving her goats!!

We decided to go to a "free" Zoo (with Minnesota animals only) with some friends one afternoon. The kiddos had a terrific time running around checking out all of the animals and things to do.

Kamryn enjoying the summer weather.

While mowing the lawn on sunny afternoon I lifted up the end of a gutter to find a new friend...a toad. Kamryn took a liking to the toad right away and gave him the name of "toey." Karson was not home at the time but I knew that he would want to see the toad so Kam and I put him in a bucket until Karson got home. In the mean time Kamryn decided to carry around the bucket with her new found friend!!!! Once Karson got home and was able to see the toad we decided to let him go in the lot next door. Karson was so sweet telling the toad to go back with its family.

"A CONVERSATION WITH KAMRYN!"
I was snuggling with Kamryn the other night before bed and like many other 21/2 year olds she was asking a lot of questions. Here is the actual conversation.
"Mommy, you sing Jesus lobes me?" "Yes, Kamryn mommy will sing Jesus loves you." "Jesus, he lobe me?" "Yes, Kamryn Jesus loves you very much."
"Jesus, He lobe grammy, papa, Avery (and the list goes on and on). "Yes, Kamryn Jesus loves all of those people."
"Mommy, where is the funder? (Thunder that is...it had stormed the night before). "Well, the thunder is in the sky." "Why is it in the sky?" "Who make the funder?" "God makes it thunder Kamryn." And the conversation ended with such a funny question. "Mommy, where is God's mom?"
I just adore some of the things my kids say. They are just way too funny. Another side note. The other night we were out driving and Kamryn asked, "Mommy, who turned out the lights?" Needless to say my kids aren't usually outside after it is dark!!

My beautiful baby girl eating her cake and enjoying it!!

Happy 5th Birthday Karson!!! I can't believe that he is 5 already...how time flies. We celebrated his birthday with family...we actually had a new member added to the family on his birthday. My brother and his wife had a baby boy on the 28th. Karson was pretty excited that he was going to share his birthday with his cousin. My parents came up for the weekend and painted the "Hawkeye" basement to a more neutral color. We are working on putting the house on the market. After painting we enjoyed time outside with Karson, Kamryn and Avery. Karson received lots of Star Wars things...that seems to be the big thing right now.
Every evening it is like sandlot at our house. We have at least 6-7 boys that like to run the neighborhood (and mine is included). They love to play sports, squirt guns and Star Wars. It is so fun watching him grow up. He is a lovely boy who makes friends very easily.

Hello out there. Sorry it has been months since my last updated blog. I hadn't realized that it had been that long...boy does time fly. Anyways, the Lindsay family is doing great. We are eagerly awaiting warmer weather with everyone else that lives in the Mid-West. I can't wait to hit the parks with the kids. We did attempt to take a walk/bike ride a couple of days ago. It ended with Karson getting too much snow on his tires and falling into a puddle that was near by. Karson blamed me for the act the entire walk home and believe me it was a long walk!!!
Karson is doing great in school. Kerry and I just had his spring conference this past week. His teacher had all great things to say about him! Of course why wouldn't they? He is such a delightful little boy. Karson is really getting excited about summer. He just found out that he gets to play real Tee-ball this summer...with uniforms and all. I can't wait to watch him at the plate. He is such a little sports fanitic! His only concern is that he is afraid he will have to be on the Cubs team and he wants to be on the Cardinals. I told him that we don't know what types of teams they are going to have this year. Boys are just too funny sometimes.
Kamryn is also doing well. Kerry and I keep saying that we don't think she has grown since last summer. I know that is not true but she just seems to stay the same size. She is such a little peanut (still wearing size 18 months). She is quite the little talker and can sing entire songs. Her new favorites are "Old McDonald" and "Twinkle Twinkle." She is such an amazing little girl with such a sweet spirit.
Kerry and I are doing well. Kerry is keeping extremely busy at his new job in Mankato. He seems to enjoy the challenge. And as for myself I am keeping busy with the kids and dog, attending ECFE and doing a bible study. As for the bigger news we are looking to put our home on the market next month. Kerry and I are both tired of the communting. It is just time to move to where his job is located. It will be a hard move as I have friends here that are like my family, but I know that I won't be too far away. Other than that we are all doing very well. I will try to do a better job of keeping up with this blog. (Michelle, I am always amazed at how often you blog....I love it). Take care and God Bless

I just came upon this picture. I absolutely love this picture of Karson. It is one of my favorites.

The entire family painting at The Painted Peguin. Karson painted Snoppy and Kamryn painted an Easter Bunny. The kids had a great time.

Kamryn riding Pilchard. Of course she has to climb on everything because that is what Kamryn does!!!!

Karson with cousin Avery in Scoop at the Children's Museum.

Karson getting ready to watch the 3-d movie at the IMAX. He was just too funny. Throughout the movie he would try to grab the animals that were coming towards him. It was a good laugh!

Karson at the FineHearts Festival. As you can see he did not want to participate. The poor thing did not want to sing in front of 100 people and I really can't blame him.

Kamryn eating with her twin doll at the American Doll Store Resturant. It was just too cute.

Karson skating with a friend. He does have skates but since it was just me with the two of them I didn't want to have Karson on skates and have to watch Kamryn as well. I keep telling him that we will get down there before winter is over. Hockey is a big thing here in Minnesota. Kerry and I are trying with all of our might to not have him join...for multiple reasons.

Kamryn enjoying the ice skating (no skate just boots). However, mom wasn't as excited. You have to constantly watch her afterall the poor thing has had two casts in the last six months.
