We had a good Christmas. We stayed at home this year. Karson was so excited about Santa coming! We got up Christmas morning to open presents from Santa. Kamryn had not been feeling well the days (2) before Christmas (flu) and she woke up Christmas day feeling terrible. The poor thing. She cried all day and wouldn't let me put her down, not even to her daddy. I think that I finally got a shower at about 4:30 in the afternoon. Karson had a terrfic day. He had all kinds of one-on-one time with his daddy! We did get a chance to play a few family games in the late afternoon. Karson got to decorate a birthday cake for Jesus in the afternoon. He had a great time doing all of the frosting. I will try to post some of the pictures that he took with his new digital camera...I can't quite figure out where those pictures have went yet. It was a wonderful day spent as a family (besides Kamryn feeling ill)!

Karson with his new digital camera. He loves it! He takes pictures and videos all the time and then we have to watch them on the t.v. at the end of the day.

Karson with his gift that he made mom and dad. He made it at preschool and was so proud of it! I love receiving those kinds of gifts for I know that it won't be long and those types of projects will no longer come home.

Mommy signing Kamryn's cast. She is doing extremely well with the cast. The only thing she gets frustrated with is the sippy cups that have two handles. She can't get ahold of the left handle and it make her mad. It is funny that it is the little things that make her mad and not the fact that she has to carry that heavy thing around everywhere!

Boy has it been awhile since I last updated. I feel as if life is just passing me by at ultra-fast speed (if that makes any sense). I love the holidays, but I just feel way too much pressure this time of year and I know that I shouldn't feel that way. (But like most moms I do).
Anyways here is the update: We spent our Thanksgiving weekend with my dad and grandma. My grandma had never been up here. It was such a joy to spend time with two of them. Last weekend was spent at the Holiday Open House and with Karson coming down with the stomach flu for two days...what a joy that was. Monday of this week was spent at home watching movies as Karson was recovering and Tuesday was a snow day!!! The kids and I headed outside later in the afternoon once the sun came out. I made large hill for Karson to slide down and Kamryn just enjoyed being pulled around in her sled. It was nice to get outside after being cooped up for a few days. What a little fresh air and sunshine will do for the soul!

The kids and I visiting with Santa while at the ECFE Holiday Open House. Yes, poor Kamryn wouldn't leave my hip for a second, which I don't blame her one bit! Karson was actually excited to see Santa this year. He told him that he wanted a Hot Wheel Set which I was unaware that he wanted that. It was a delightful time and both Kamryn and Karson enjoyed themselves.

Karson helping decorate the tree. He couldn't wait to decorate the tree this year. It was amazing to see him say "oh mom, remember this one?" I also remember doing that year after year. His new passion in life is the christmas lights. For those of you that live in Owatonna you may know what I am talking about when I tell this story. Karson is constantly wanting to drive down Cardinal Drive (to see the cardinals) and Barry Street. Again, tonite as we came home from Walgreens he said "mom, I really want to drive down Cardinal Drive." Then I have the peanut gallery in the back saying "Cardinal Drive, Cardinal Drive." So once again we take the drive down Cardinal...good thing it is close to our house!
Karson is changing everyday. The school work that he brings home actually looks like what it is suppose to look like and not just some scribbles (although scribbles are great too). His name writing has come so far in the past few months. Karson's mind never stops. In fact, the other night before bed he says to me "mom, does God ever sleep?" And I responded "no, honey He is busy taking care of us." And Karson says in return. "Boy he must be tired!" I just love the minds of children. How at times I wish that I could live the same simple way.

Kamryn decorating the tree. She is really into the tree this year. There are definately certain ornaments that are her favorite...you find them all over the living room and kitchen. Good thing we made our tree "kid friendly."
