Well, we survived the Christmas season once again...actually it was very laid back for us. Karson was so excited about everything! I have to tell you all this funny story. He was opening a presend from grandma and grandpa Lindsay and it was the Fisher Price Pirate Ship. After he sees what it is he plainly says "I'm not a pirate fan." We all thought that it was very funny. What comes out of the mouth of babes! After it was opened he became a fan and loved playing with it.

He also received a Hawkeye football uniform and was insistant on wearing it to Hy-Vee. I replied by allowing him to wear the helmet and the jersey ( a little cold for the pants).

Kamryn was able to experience sledding for the first time a couple of days ago. I think she was in shock the entire time due to the fact that she didn't say a word the entire time. Karson of course loved it and couldn't do it enough times.

We wish you all a very Happy New Year!

A Lindsay family update...
We are all doing pretty well around here. WE are in great anticipation of Christmas! Karson just can't wait. A litte funny story for you. On Monday night I was preparing him for what Tuesday was going to bring (he is a planner and has to know what is going on at all times). I told him that he was going to go to school and have a birthday party for Jesus. Then he asked "Is Jesus going to be there?" I replied "Well yes, Karson Jesus will be there in our hearts and in our minds." Then he asked "When will he come through the door?" So I tried to explain the best that I could for a three year old. I just love their love for life and their innocence!
And Kamryn she is such a little sweety. She is really starting to talk with words like mama, dada, baby, ball, cracker, pretty. I had to laugh the other day as she was walking around the house holding her new shoes saying "pretty." Kam had her 1 year check up on Friday. She is definately our little peanut only weighing 18 lbs (7 %). Both kids had to get shots this time. It wasn't a pleasant experience for anyone!!!
I hope that this time brings you and your family much happiness as we wait for our Savior Jesus to be born this Christmas!
Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year

We had a big night Friday night...Kamryn took 3 steps on her own!!! Karson was in the tub and Kam was holding onto the edge, she turned around and took 3 steps toward me. I couldn't believe it! However she hasn't done it since which in a way is a good thing. I don't know if I am ready to chase after her yet.

Kam and her pumpkin. She of course wanted to eat it!!

Craving Pumpkins! When I asked Karson what he wanted his pumpkin to be he said "a lion" and I asked myself "why do things have to be so complicated with him?" So mom went on the internet and found a lion template. Of course once we started craving the pumpkin mom had to do all of the work while Karson played in the front yard. By the time I was finished with his pumpkin I didn't want to do another one, but Kam also needed a craving so she got the typical jack-o-lantern. We will be doing a little trick-or-treating tonite. Have a happy halloween!!!

Finding just the right pumpkin!!

Kamryn and her girlfriends (Claire and Heather). All three are 1 month apart. Kamryn being the youngest.

We were able to visit a pumpkin patch yesterday afternoon. The weather was beautiful so myself and three friends of mine all took our kids to the patch. They loved running in the fields, playing in the barns and climbing up the silo with the slide. It was a really fun time. We picked out our craving pumpkins for Sunday (craving pumpkin day around our house). Here are some pictures of the kids!

Karson next to the silo.

Here are some new pictures of the kids. Sorry I still haven't figured out how to post them on our site. Yes, we are all doing better health wise...yeh!!! We were able to get outside yesterday and enjoy some very nice weather. Karson is looking forward to dressing up for Halloween. Yes, if you notice to picture of him in his costume I did make that. He wanted to be McQueen so mom tried her best in making a costume. He loves it and wants to play with it all of the time!!

What is fall without being sick...Yes, the Lindsay family all have terrible colds. Poor Kamryn had to be taken to Urgent care this morning because she wasn't breathing correctly. They told us that she just has the croop. She was given a steriod shot to open up her lungs and boy did she not enjoy that!!! Hopefully by the weekend the kids will be feeling better. This is the very first time that Kamryn has been sick. It makes me feel so bad for them, but I know that it will pass with time.
Other than that nothing is too new. Karson is looking forward to trick-or-treating. Mom is still working on his costume. He wants to be a race car! We sprayed painted a box red and some circles black for the wheels. We still have a lot of work to do. And Kam she is going to be a chili pepper. I will post some pics at a later time.

Mommy with Kamryn and Karson at the apple orchard!

We took a trip to the apple orchard this week. Karson enjoyed picking apples from the tree, walking through the corn fields and just playing with his friend Joesph. And Kamryn well she just enjoyed a nice trip in the baby bjorn...it amazes me that the girl still fits in the thing (afterall she will be one next month).

Kamryn is now saying a few words like the common mama, dada, cracker and up. It just amazes me how much she has changed in the last few months! I hope everyone is enjoying this nice fall weather. I am just not ready for the horrible Minnesota winter!!!!

Anyways, the Lindsay clan is doing well. Karson is enjoying preschool (he wishes that he could go everyday!!). And Kamryn is learning all kinds of new things. I am constantly taking her off of the stairs!

Sorry about the corn field picture. I am trying to upload photobucket and it is not working for me. I will keep trying. Do you guys have any sugguestions? Hopefully we will warm up by tomorrow. I am not ready for this cool weather.

First day of Preschool!

Today was Karsons' first day at Trinity Preschool. He loved it! No tears at all (even for mom...I was surprised). He will attend two days a week (Monday and Tuesday) for 2 1/2 hours. Karson made many new friends and loved being the napkin helper! I still can't believe that he is in preschool...how time flies.

We also spent last weekend at my parents home in Davenport, IA. Karson enjoyed playing with his cousin Avery. The picture I posted is of them playing in the corn. Kamryn also enjoyed being at Grammi's house. It was a great end to the summer. Now its time for a schedule!!!

Kamryns first piggies!

It's Fair time!!!

Sorry it has been so long since the last time I updated this blog. You would think that as a stay at home mom that I would have time to update this thing, but between playdates and going to the fair I haven't had much time.

Karson really enjoyed going in the barns as well as riding some of the rides. And Kamryn she just hung out in her front pack for most of the time. The picture I posted is of Karson and his friend Joesph. We call them "our two little old men."

Life is going to get really busy here for us in the next month. Karson is starting preschool. I can't believe it! He will be going where I taught. It was really odd being on the other side of things during parent orintation and during the home visit. Karson is really excited and mom is excited for him. While Karson is at preschool Kamryn and I will be doing MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). It is an exciting time for our family.

Nothing too new.

We have been taking it easy here at the Lindsay household. Kamryn had her first trip to the doctor last week. She had a strange rash on her arms and legs so I took her in to see the doctor and he said it was a viral infection of some sort. So no meds (thank goodness) and a few days later it had disappeared. And Karson he is enjoying his summer of fishing with grandma!! WE are going to the lake today with some friends, so it should be fun!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. We had a great day! We spent most of it home as a family, then later on we had some friends and family over for fireworks. Kamryn went to bed early and poor Karson didn't get to bed until 11:30, so needless to say he is very tired today. We all had a great time. Here are some pictures of my "little fireworks!"

Karson loving the summer weather!

Kamryn in the sun!!
Hello everyone,
It has been a long time since the last time I was on this blog. Everyone is doing well here. Karson is loving the summer sun (although with his coloring his skin doesn't like it much). He loves playing baseball and hitting the ball into the sandlot (that is what he calls the neighbors yard). And Kamryn she is my little sweet heart. She just started eating solids and is loving it! She is a little peanut only weighing in at 14lbs. She loves playing on the floor and taking her brothers cars. It is so much fun watching the two of them interact with one another! It absolutly amazes me how fast they really do grow up. I will try to keep with this blog this time.
