We had a very sad day here at the Lindsay household yesterday. Our beloved dog Maya passed away. She had become sick the night before last (nothing serious)and yesterday she wouldn't eat her food so we knew something was wrong, but again we didn't think it was anything too serious. We left to go to the cities to get Kerry's car for work and we came home to find her at peace. Maya was the perfect dog! She loved the kids and her recent walks that Kerry would take her on. It is very quiet around here and Karson doesn't quiet understand. Last night he said to me that he was going to be lonely going to bed because Maya wasn't there to sleep with him (she always slept at the foot of his bed until she knew he was asleep and then she would come downstairs to be with us).
Maya was the perfect dog for 10 1/2 years!! We will deeply miss her. RIP Maya

Ahhh, that is so sad. I'm so sorry you guys have to go through this hard time. Pets become part of our family and we love them so much. Just don't forget all the wonderful memories your family had with him! I'm sure it's so hard for the kids to understand....
